Intellectually

2. Read and comprehend at grade level
3. Express themselves clearly and concisely through the written and spoken language
4. Use computational skills, deductive reasoning and a strong sense of number to solve problems
5. Understand basic geometric relationships; and properly use measuring instruments/calculators
6. Know the geography, history, culture, and current events of Utah, the U.S., and the world
7. Apply knowledge of the scientific method
8. Have a basic knowledge of art and music
9. Use a computer proficiently
10. Be an active listener

Physically

1. Know and apply the importance of nutrition, fitness, and exercise to their lives
2. Know the basic rules of various sports and games and practice good sportsmanship
